SoloShelf does not collect, store, or harvest any of your personal data.

• We do not require account creation, email registration, or social media logins to use the app.
• All data you input—including your book titles, reading logs, dates, notes, reviews, and imported library data—is stored locally on your device.

By default, SoloShelf utilizes Apple's iCloud infrastructure to securely synchronize your reading history across your personal devices.

• Your data is transmitted directly to your personal iCloud container via Apple's secure APIs.
• The developer of SoloShelf does not have access to your iCloud account, your encryption keys, or any data stored within your iCloud container.
• You can disable iCloud synchronization at any time directly through your device's iOS Settings menu, which will restrict your data to strictly on-device storage.

SoloShelf offers optional in-app purchases in the form of a "Tip Jar" to support independent development.

• All payment processing is handled entirely and securely by Apple Inc. via the App Store.
• The developer of SoloShelf does not collect, receive, or have access to your financial information, credit card numbers, or personal billing details.

SoloShelf includes an optional, voluntary feature that helps you import your reading history from other platforms (such as Apple Books) by taking screenshots and manually using third-party artificial intelligence tools (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude) with prompts provided in the app to generate a structured JSON layout.

• No Data Collection: The screenshot, text prompt, and generated text/JSON data are processed entirely on your own device or directly through the third-party AI provider you choose to use. The developer of SoloShelf does not capture, receive, view, or store your screenshots, prompts, or the generated data.
• Third-Party AI Policies: When you copy your reading history or screenshots into an external AI platform, your data is subject to that specific platform's privacy policy and terms of service. SoloShelf has no control over how these third-party tools handle your information.

SoloShelf does not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs. We do not sell, rent, or share your habits with advertisers or brokers.

The developer reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect app updates. Any changes will be posted clearly within this document with an updated version date.

SoloShelf is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer of SoloShelf be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation:

• Data Loss: Any loss of data, reading history, custom notes, or library logs resulting from app deletions, hardware failure, iCloud synchronization issues, or software bugs.
• Service Interruptions: Any errors, system crashes, or temporary inability to access the application.
• User Input Errors: Any issues arising from corrupted, improperly formatted file imports, or corrupted JSON strings copied into the application.
• In-App Purchases: Optional "Tip Jar" contributions are completely voluntary, do not unlock extra features, and are non-refundable through the developer. All refund requests must go through Apple Inc.
• Third-Party AI Tool Usage: The AI-assisted import feature is provided purely as a convenience and is entirely voluntary. If you choose to use third-party AI platforms (such as Gemini, ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) alongside the prompts provided in SoloShelf, you do so at your own risk. The developer of SoloShelf is not responsible or liable for any errors in data processing, inaccurate outputs, formatting mismatches, or any privacy/data incidents resulting from your interactions with third-party AI services.

You acknowledge and agree that you are solely responsible for managing your own data backups, keeping your iOS device secure, and managing your personal iCloud account settings. You are solely responsible for compliance with any terms and conditions specified by third-party services you choose to interact with while using optional features in SoloShelf.
